The journey of a thousand miles ...

For those non-Facebook types ... here is a photo that my wife Heidi posted yesterday. That's me on my road. God, how I wish it were an April Fool's joke. But alas, I am the April Fool hobbling up and down on the crutches. I went to the end of the street and back with Heidi. And then, later in the day, to the telephone pole and back, twice. There is progress and there is pain. And last night, there was a whole world of self-pity and hurt. All part of the process.

Visits from team members have buoyed my spirit beyond belief. They are my sons and daughters, and I love them all unconditionally.
