On a day better suited to fly a kite – while dressed for
winter weather – our women’s 4x200 relay ran 1:47.26, which is 1.20 seconds off
the 11-year-old school record in the event. Coach Horton said the windy
conditions were a factor, but the “Penn experience” will certainly come in
handy for three of the four members of the team who have the opportunity to
return in the future (senior captain Danielle Asaro leaves us after this
season). Coach Horton's crew is on the way home, while Coach Chuck's crew -- racewalker Kristi Licursi and the women's 4x800 relay -- is on the way back to Philly.
