At the famous Manchester Road Race in Connecticut, there were some strong performance by Marist Running Alums and families. Will Griffin led the way with an elite-level performance, placing 28th overall in 23:59, an average of 5:03 per mile for the roughly 4.75-mile race. Matt Maynes was next, clocking 25:37 (5:24 pace). Tommy Lipari's return to racing went well, after he waded through several thousand runners at the start. He finished in 30:58 (6:52 pace), but was slowed tremendously by being way far back in the crowd (his gun time was 32:51). His sister, Emily Lipari, was among the elite finishers in the women's race (26:20, 5:33 pace). And finally, mom Theresa Lipari finished the race in 52:10.
