Thank you to all who have donated old sneakers and shoes for our ongoing charity effort with Dreams for Downs. Here are some photos of the sneakers collected since our last donation in November.
The first photo is of freshman distance runner Spencer Johnson, on top of the pile of sneakers in the racquetball court.
The second photo shows all the shoes in the back of Kim Adams' car, with her daughter Judy Adams and three freshmen distance runners who I roped into helping carry the sneakers outside on the cold afternoon on Thursday (Taylor Mueller, Kim Schwartz, Marissa Porter).
The third photo is of junior Pat Rynkowski on the pile of shoes, and the last photo is the pile of shoes. The charity effort is ongoing. Even though my office is currently empty, we will always take your old sneakers. Keep 'em coming ...
