It was a fantastic season opener for our indoor track team. As noted in a previous post, Coach Horton's sprint crew has been going after it in a big way this semester, and it was nice to see immediate dividends. Usually, in these December meets, we are looking to set a tone. Well, the tone was set, all right -- highlighted by junior Danielle Asaro's school-record dash in the 60 meters. Danielle sprinted to a time of 8.11 seconds, which eclipsed her own school mark of 8.19 seconds set two seasons ago at the Gotham Cup in January 2012.
