The record-setting 3,200-meter relay team at IC4As
in Princeton a little more than a week ago was a fitting end to our outdoor
track season. But technically, it was not the “end” of the season.
That comes next month, when freshman (or “rising
sophomore” as they say) Mark Valentino competes at the USA Junior Championships
at the University of Indiana in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. Tino will race on
Sunday, June 17 (Father’s Day!) out at IU, and his training has begun in
earnest for that race.
