Gotham Cup splits

800 meters

Greg Dubois, 2:03.21, 25th place

Splits: 29.3, 59.0 (29.7), 1:30.1 (31.1), 2:03.21 (33.11). Comment: Personal-best and getting better, need to close stronger. It's getting there.

Matt Maynes, 2:03.47, 26th place

Splits: 30.1, 61.1 (31.0), 1:31.9 (30.8), 2:03.47 (31.57). Comment: Not a bad start to the season. Gotta start faster, definitely. Speed work will help. We'll get there.

Colin Johnson, 2:06.71, 42nd place

Splits: 29.6, 60.3 (31.7), 1:33.3 (33.0), 2:06.71 (33.41). Comment: Not a bad effort. You raced well and competed well.

Splits: 32, 63 (31), 1:37 (34), 2:08 (31), 2:38.68 (30.68). Comment: Fantastic effort, major PR and big bounceback after last week's dismal 3k. Most importantly, you COMPETED very well and aggressively, and I was thrilled to see that.
